My discussion is aimed at providing solutions to help patients to cope during this pandemic and as well as beyond. The topic for this fair is healthy eating. I will be discussing the importance of well rounded meals and why it is unwise to cut out whole food groups from our meals. Quick tips on how to build a healthy plate using a variety of foods will also be provided.

The Physical Therapy Session in our Virtual Health Fair, will be discussing the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle and how to prevent, manage and improve one’s function even from an injured state. The presenter will highlight what an active lifestyle truly means and how simple it can be to implement into your day to day. Dr. Pierre hope to bring to the forefront the role active living can play in fall prevention in older adults, management of comorbidities, prevention of osteopenia / osteoporosis and decreasing the risk/ management of neck and back pain.

This session is one that we know holds high value for many of our attendees at home. Ms. Ramlakhan will discuss the importance of setting Mental Health Goals as well as exploring tools and exercises that you can incorporate for achieving those goals. She will also be delving into Setting Boundaries and how we go about doing that in today's world. This session is intended to leave you with more to maintain your daily mental health.
