This 2-Day Practical two-partnered course will teach you how to evaluate any pelvis that walks in your clinic!

Conducted by Dr. Hailey Miller and Dr. Ally Loupe of The Pelvic Powerhouse LLC, they are a team of specialised Physical Therapists focused on pelvic dysfunction across all walks of life. You will learn key tools and perspectives that will grow your confidence in assessing your pelvic patients. You will learn:

  • The internal vaginal and rectal exam
  • How to apply your findings to a person's symptoms, and what to do about it. 
  • Key orthopedic screens, as well as how to take the person's nervous system into account! 

You won't be limited by only learning how to treat certain diagnoses at the end of this course... because The Pelvic Powerhouse uses a analysis perspective that encourages you to THINK by diagnosis.  You will learn to find the root cause, so that you can confidently treat ANY pelvic health condition!

Our course's learning objectives cover the following:

  • Understand basic structures and how they interrelate in regards to pelvic floor function 
  • Understand how to take an orthopedic approach to resolve causes of pelvic floor dysfunction 
  • Understand the biological plausibility of how structures can contribute to pelvic floor dysfunction 
  • Cite potential causes for development of dysfunction in the pelvis, abdomen and thorax 
  • Express a clear understanding of the structures within the pelvis and their normal function  
  • Differentiate between vaginal and rectal exam and treatment techniques and understand the proper application of each. 
  • Identify structures with relation to the pelvic floor via external and internal vaginal/rectal landmarks  
  • Understand how an orthopedic assessment can help to determine root cause of pelvic floor dysfunction 
  • Recognize and treat limitations throughout the pelvis, abdomen and thorax as they may relate to diagnoses of pelvic floor dysfunction  
  • Develop treatment sequencing with respect to global, local and focal systems and structures Implement information and techniques into a comprehensive evaluation, assessment, and treatment program for the patient with varied pelvic floor dysfunctions

Dr. Becky is also the founder, CEO, and a licensed Physical Therapist at Genesis PT & Wellness, her Pelvic Floor therapy private practice located across seven clinical locations in DFW Texas, as well as serving people virtually all over the world. Dr. Becky firmly believes that pelvic floor dysfunction requires extensive knowledge and understanding of the body as a whole and has built her entire practice on this truth, including having trained each of her therapists in how to treat the pelvic floor without through a holistic lens that truly takes the whole person into account.
